Navigating the Human Rights Complaint Process - A Free Public Legal Information Event (Charlottetown)
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Have you ever wondered how the Human Rights complaint process actually works on PEI?
We are pleased to share our next public legal education event: Navigating the Human Rights Complaint Process.
The Law Society of Prince Edward Island is partnering with the PEI Human Rights Commission to offer a free public legal information session designed to explain the human rights process, including the complaint process, in a clear, practical way.
At this session, you will:
- Learn what discrimination means under the Human Rights Act
- Walk step-by-step through the complaint process
- Understand what may happen after a complaint is received, including mediation, investigation, and hearings
- Learn about possible remedies and outcomes
Whether you are considering filing a complaint, responding to one, or simply want to better understand how the system works, we hope this session will make the process understandable and accessible.
Sessions are being held in-person in both Charlottetown and Summerside:
Charlottetown: March 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Law Society of PEI
Summerside: March 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Summerside Rotary Library
This session free to attend. However, space is limited, so we ask that you register if you plan to attend.
We hope to see you there!
